Library and Self-Study Centre
The school library is open before school 8.00 - 8.55am, 10.50 - 11.10am (except Friday Graduation time), 12.15 - 1.30pm and 3.30 - 5.00pm every day. It is open from 1.30 to 3.30pm every day for special class use only. The library has over 350 ESL readers at 6 different levels, self-study materials for TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, FCE, CAE and CPE exams, grammar worksheets, listening worksheets with over 50 tapes and 18 listening posts, video worksheets with 7 video monitors and over 200 videos, 3 computers with English language software and CD-Roms as well as 5 EFL subscription magazines, other magazines, newspapers and many reference books. Students can take books and videos home for up to one week.
Internet Room
Worldwide School has a large Internet Room with many computers. The Internet Room is open before school 8.00 - 8.55am, 10.50 - 11.10am (except Friday Graduation time), 12.15 - 1.30pm and 3.30 - 5.00pm every day. They are FREE for all students to use. All computers have a high-speed cable connection and have foreign alphabet software so students can write to friends and families in their own language. There are also FREE WiFi zones on both floors at Worldwide School where students can have FREE internet access onto their own personal computers. The Internet Room computers also have EFL software programmes for self or class study. During busy times there is a 20 minute limit if other students are waiting. If a student wants to use the internet during busy times there are many low cost internet cafes near Worldwide School.
Student Room
Our large student room is available for students to use, before class, during breaks and after school. It is also the venue for our regular School Parties and Friday Graduations.
The student room has a kitchen where students can heat their lunch. It also has free tea and coffee.
There are chairs and dining tables and a telephone for students to use, which is free for local calls. In addition, we have small kitchens on both floors of the Worldwide School building where students can get free tea or coffee.
Movie Theatre
Our Movie Theatre seats up to 2 classes and shows videos and DVDs through a wide screen projection system with surround sound speakers.
Ping Pong Area
For those students who like to play ping pong/table tennis we have a play area.
Prayer Room
For those students who need to pray during school hours we provide a prayer room. Any religion is welcome to use the room for prayer.
