Worldwide House Accommodation
Welcome to Worldwide House - International Students Apartments in Auckland.
Worldwide House apartments belong to Worldwide School of English and are used for students as accommodation while they are studying in Auckland or on a Worldwide course.
The address for Worldwide House is 31 Mauranui Ave, Remuera, Auckland. This is just a 10 minute train ride to school.
Each apartment is fully furnished and self-contained with bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room.
The costs are: NZ$120 placement fee (not charged if the student is
transferring from a Worldwide School homestay), NZ$140 per week per student
for a share apartment, NZ$210 per week for a semi single or NZ$240 per week for a single apartment.
For couples at Worldwide House the prices are:
Single apartment 2 people/couple = NZ$150 each, Semi-single apartment 2 people/couple = NZ$140 each, Share apartment 2 friends (NO couples) = NZ$140 each
A share apartment has 2 or 3 beds in the bedroom and students live together sharing their kitchen, bathroom and living room. A semi single apartment has a single bedroom but kitchen, bathroom and living room is shared with 1 or 2 other students. A single apartment (available for couples as well) has its own bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room.
The fee includes electricity and water costs as well as towels, bed sheets, TV, toaster, kettle etc (however it does NOT include food and other consumables). The student will also need to pay a bond of NZ$250. This is returned when the student leaves the apartment and it is clean with nothing broken or missing. 4 weeks is the minimum time you can stay at Worldwide House.
Worldwide House has a student room with SKY TV, telephones and FREE Wi Fi connection. There are also several out door areas including a BBQ space with a game area, vending machines with food and drink and a laundry area where washing machines and dryers are available at a small cost.
We put our students together with a student from another country. Also the apartments have students of the same sex only.
Worldwide House is located near Newmarket, a famous shopping and restaurant area which is 10 minutes by train or bus from school.
Worldwide House is for mature and independent students. If a student has never been overseas before then we recommend a homestay first.
After a student graduates from Worldwide School it is possible to extend their stay at Worldwide House as long as an apartment is not needed by another Worldwide School student. 2 weeks notice will be given by the school to ex-students who will need to leave Worldwide House.
If a student goes away on holiday for a week or more but wishes to remain at Worldwide House they need to continue paying the full weekly amount.
