Summer in New Zealand (October to April) is a great time for going to the beach and playing on and in the water!
It is a GREAT time to come to New Zealand and try some water sports. At Worldwide you can do:
SCUBA DIVING
NZ$ 575 (per person)
PADI Open Water Course: Evening classes (intensive 1 week or less intensive over 3 weeks options) plus one weekend of ocean dives at the end, all equipment, instruction and accommodation on weekend dive (if staying overnight).
Extra cost for medical check if you don't already have one.
Available all year round.
SURFING
NZ$ 575 (per person)
Includes: 3 weekend 1 day surf sessions (including picnic lunch on the beach) AND 2 afternoons per week with surfing instructor. We use a professional instructor at a Surf School.
(Includes: Surfboard, wetsuit, transport and expert instruction)
If studying for a longer period (eg 8 weeks plus) the surf lessons can all be done on weekends. ie 2 afternoons per week can be changed to a weekend one day surf session.
Surfing is weather and wave dependent and so the surf student will never know exactly when they will surf. We cannot prebook the waves to be good on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. This means for example that some weeks the student may miss no afternoon classes but the next week miss 4 etc.

SAILING
Includes: 3 weekend 1 day sails (including picnic lunch on an island) in a boat with sailing instructor.
Study:
Minimum 4 weeks study
Minimum English requirement of Intermediate level for all PLUS Summer Sports.
Accommodation:
Homestay or Student apartments
Start any Monday (October to April).
