Programme Materials

Students will work from the official Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) Course textbook, published by Cambridge University Press. Supplementary materials and practice exams will be provided free of charge.

The Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT)

The TKT tests professional knowledge about the teaching of English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). Students who complete the full 5-week programme are also expected to take the exam. We can arrange for students to take the exam at a local test centre in Auckland. The TKT exam is offered five times a year in Auckland.

The Internship option is avaiable for 4 weeks after each course and is at a local New Zealand Primary/Secondary School.

Offshore pretests are designed to give prospective students an estimate of their suitability for various courses at Worldwide School of English. They are not a guarantee that a student will be accepted once they arrive at Worldwide School. Students will also need to take one of our placements tests when in Auckland.
